Emergency Preparedness

Engro Polymer & Chemicals Ltd. has devised emergency plans in case of release of hazardous chemicals, in which it runs surprise drills and simulation exercises to ensure preparedness.

Being a large petrochemical complex, the EPCL handles volatile chemicals and gases in enormous volumes, which create vulnerability to incidents and chances of exposure. Any accidental release and explosion can lead to the formation of hazardous gas cloud which may have dangerous consequences for the neighboring towns and communities, surrounding industrial complexes and its own staff.
